Parent-Participation

“The smallest act of kindness is worth more than the grandest intention.” ~ Oscar Wilde

Parent-Participation Requirements

As a non-profit society, BFLP operates as a parent-participation preschool where each family is a member of the Society.  At BFLP, we empower our dedicated teachers to focus entirely on the children, allowing them to apply their expertise to create an enhanced learning environment, leaving the parent and caregiver community to take on nearly 100% of active volunteer roles to run all operations.   This collaborative model enables the BFLP tuition to be below other preschools, fostering accessibility and community.

Every family’s contribution counts - whether small or big!  It is vital that executive Board roles are filled, as these are integral to the functioning of BFLP programs.  While every attempt is made to find a role that is best suited to your skill, interests and time, your role may be assigned based on the needs of the school. This is an excellent opportunity to build your skills while giving back to your child’s school.

All registered families are required to contribute a minimum 20 hours of volunteering in the school year.  Families who are unable to fulfil their volunteering obligations will result in a pro-rated volunteer guarantee fee to be withdrawn at the end of the school year.
